Breakopoly (2015) – Event Recap

The Breakopoly event, presented by the Pro Breaking Tour and sanctioned by UDEF, took place on Saturday, March 7th, 2015 at the Heroes of Hip Hop in Weston, Florida. This Pro Breaking Tour Futures Series Event featured a 2-on-2 bboy/bgirl breaking battle, awarding a total of $2,000.  Breakopoly is a Breaking Game show / competition allowed contestants to collect cash prizes as they advanced to the next rounds of the battle.

The event was hosted by Flash St Hilaire with BBoys Lego, Hannibal, and Omen holding down the judging panel.  Beats for the night were provided by DJ Crunchtime and Johnny Tsunami.

 

Congratulations to the winners, Flava Squad (Vicious & Keebz) for taking the first place prize over Backyard Funk. Also congrats to the semi-finalists War Machines and Flipside Kingz.

    Make Your Marks 2 (2015) – Event Recap

    The Make Your Mark 2 event, presented by the Pro Breaking Tour and sanctioned by UDEF, took place on Sunday, March 1st, 2015 at the Secret Theater in Long Island City, NY. This Pro Breaking Tour Futures Series Event featured a 1-on-1 bboy/bgirl breaking battle, awarding a total of $1,500.

    DJ for the event was Foxx Boogie (Repstyles/Ctrl Freaks).

    Judges for the event were Frankie (Supreme Beingz / Universal Alchemy), Isaiah (Lionz Of Zion), and Funt (Powermove Conspiracy / Illusion of Exist).

    Prize Money Breakdown:
    1st place – $750
    2nd place – $400
    Semi Finalists – $125 each

    Congrats to Tata for taking the first place win over D.O.L. in the final battle. Jumanji and Uncle Will were semi-finalists. Congratulations to all!

    Heartz & Mindz (2015) – Event Recap

    Heartz and Mindz, presented by the Pro Breaking Tour and sanctioned by UDEF, took place on Saturday, February 21st, 2015 at the Steinmetz Academic Centre in Chicago, IL. This Pro Breaking Tour Futures Series Event, hosted by AMS & Bravemonk, featured a 3-on-3 breaking battle, awarding a total of $3,150.

    DJs for the event were Lester Burnem’, EDouble, and Shon Roka.

    Judges for the event were Super Inlight (Stick and Move Crew), Omega (Ground Syndrome Killaz), and Mijo (Motion Disorderz).

    Prize Money Breakdown:
    1st place – $1,500
    2nd place – $750
    Semi Finalists – $450 each

    Congrats to Crooks Crew for taking the first place win over 5 Crew Dynasty in the final battle. Motion Disorderz took 3rd, with United Outkasts taking 4th place.
