Culture of 4 (2015) – Event Recap

The Culture of 4 event, presented by the Pro Breaking Tour and sanctioned by UDEF, took place on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at the MAAC in Chula Vista, CA. This Pro Breaking Tour Satellite Series Event brought to you by Bboy EraNetik, featured a 2-on-2 breaking battle, awarding a total of $800 as well as an all styles battle. The DJs were The Super BBeat Boys – Mane1, Sake, & Son of Jarel. featuring an all vinyl 45 set by Son of Jarel.  The judges for the event were Cros1 (Freestyle Session), Venum (Skill Methodz), and Shyism (The Calamities).  The event also featured a panel discussion about the history of breaking in San Diego.

Prize Money Breakdown:

1st place – $400 (2 checks of $200)
2nd place – $200 (2 checks of $100)
Semi Finalists – $100 per crew (2 checks of $50 per crew)

Congrats to Vlad and Gravity for taking first place over Knuckleheads Cali (Flexum and Rion) and to the semi finalists, Rock so Fresh (Saso & Sumo) and Furious Styles (Mace and WeaponX). The young bucks were definitely making noise!  Also congrats to Pyro of Toronto for taking the All Styles battle.
