Style Elements 20th Anniversary (2014) – Event Recap

The Style Elements 20th Anniversary event sponsored by Silverback Bboy Events and sanctioned by UDEF, took place on July 19, 2014 at the Roosevelt Community Center in San Jose, CA. Organized by Darrick Fields, the event was part of the $250,000 Pro Breaking Tour’s Challenger Series, and featured a 3vs3 Freestyle Session Qualifier bboy battle judged by Machine (Style Elements/Killafornia), Ricky Stuntman RocAny (Style Elements/FSC), and Ruen (Style Elements/Killafornia).

Style Elements Crew is a staple name of modern breaking in the United States and the event was a great celebration of their 20 years of putting their blood, sweat, and tears into this culture, inspiring bboys and bgirls around the globe for two decades.  The battles were a great testament to the SEC legacy as crews from all over gave it their best to take the win.

Congratulations to Nasty Calamities (Nasty Ray, Eranetik & Lancer) for taking 1st place over Globe Trotters (Soulhouse, Nick Abat & Dev1naire) in the final battle.  Nasty Calamities went home with $1,500 for their win along with a trip to the Freestyle Session World Finals in San Diego, while Globetrotters took home $750 for 2nd place.
Congratulations as well to the semi-final crews, Fresh Descendants  (Thesis, Dapt and Nate the Killa Robot) and Underground Flow (M-Pact, Villn & Philithy) for their awesome performances throughout the event, taking home $450 each for 3rd/4th place.
