Sactown Underground 3 (2014) – Event Recap

The Sactown Underground 3, Challenger Series event was the third installment of Nor Cal’s biggest annual jam, held at the Collings West Sacramento Teen Center on May 31st organized by Fresh and Fly Productions and sponsored by Silverback Bboy Events. The event was hype as ever: including a workshop from Bboy Gravity, 3v3 battles for $1500, and an exhibition battle between the Bay and Sacramento. Dj’ed by BzBEATS and Quantum and judged by Flexum(Knuckleheads Cali/Furious Styles), Morris(Fallen Kings/Supernaturalz), and Gravity(5 Crew Dynasty), it’s clear as day sky that these west coast crews came out swinging- battles that make you want to get up and dance whether you’re watching in the company of friends or sneaking in a view during your lunch break. Taking the title this year was Floor Gods (Sun/Skwid/LX) after a winning a tie-breaker in the finals against Uncomfortably Fresh (JimmyJam/Neato/One) Videos below can attest to the hype battles and great vibe.
